Who we are
Joseph Murphy began his professional career as an F-16 fighter pilot before transitioning to the Pentagon in the role of Chief of Economics for the Department of the Air Force. After 23 years of combined military and civil service, Joseph embarked on a journey into the private sector and legal profession.
At George Mason University law school, Joseph received concentrations in Tax Law and Securities and Corporate Law. Joseph started his legal practice in Biglaw where he leveraged his academic concentrations, business acumen, and federal executive branch experience to provide businesses with regulatory and corporate transactions legal services, primarily in corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and federal government contracts.
As a practitioner with a focus on serving small to mid-size firms, Joseph eagerly shares his aptitude and experience with economics and financial mathematics to integrate legal advice into clients’ corporate strategy and estate plans.
Bar Admissions and Qualifications:
Licensed in Virginia, North Carolina, and the District of Columbia.
Admitted to the United States Court of Federal Claims and the Supreme Court of Virginia
